Mixed, Virtual, Extended, and Augmented realities technology is used widely in a multitude of industries as well.
In education, it helps the students to visit places that are located far away from them or historical sites and reconstructions that give an opportunity to connect other senses and experience these locations besides simply reading about them in a book or watching a movie.
In healthcare, AR & VR aid surgeons and other doctors to train the movements before performing the actual surgery. For example, Pentagon uses this technology to sharpen the skills of the medical health military professionals because having well-trained people literally means life or death for the personnel during the operations.
In real estate, the stakes are lower than in the medical industry, but it is a great feature to help envision the architectural plans and renders in a more real way. It’s one thing to see something on paper, another – to see a 3D render, and yet, augmented and virtual reality adds a whole another level to the experience, helping the user find himself or herself inside the building.
